Principal Dentist: Mr Robert Middlefell
BDS (Newcastle)
GDC number 73165
Having decided to study Dentistry, Rob qualified from the University of Newcastle-upon Tyne in 1997. Following graduation, he worked in the North East of England until moving to work in Tetbury in 2003.
Rob works at Belgrave House Dental on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, sharing a surgery with his Wife, Lucy. When he’s not in Tetbury, he is a Clinical Teacher at Bristol Dental School and a busy Dad to three growing children! He is interested in all aspects of dentistry, with “prevention being better than cure” at the heart of his approach; but when things do need intervention, his commitment to keeping up to date means he is happy to discuss a wide range of dental treatments available. This includes Dental Implants, Root Fillings, Crowns, Bridges and the management of gum (periodontal) problems.
If you would like to come and see Rob for advice or an examination, please call the practice and we can arrange this for you.

Associate Dentist: Mrs Lucy Middlefell
BDS (Newcastle)
GDC number 74424
Lucy grew up and went to school in Oxfordshire. Her interest in Dentistry was kickstarted as a teenager, after tumbling head first over her bike handlebars and badly damaging her two front teeth. After many sessions at the dentist, she had beautifully repaired front teeth and a love of dentistry!
Since qualifying in 1998 from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Dental school she has worked in the South West, in both Warminster and Bath before settling 10 years ago in Tetbury.
She works part time at Belgrave House Dental and her main loves are ‘giving people their smile back’ and helping people realise that going to the dentist is no longer a ‘scary’ experience.
She also has an interest in facial aesthetics and provides treatments such as Botox therapy and Dermal Fillers.
With 3 young children at home, she also loves treating children and helping them learn good lessons from the start!
On top of this she is also a Clinical Teacher at Bristol Dental Hospital where she teaches the dentists of the future! She is also an examiner for the ORE, (Overseas Registration Examination) with the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
If you would like to come and see Lucy for advice or an examination, then please call the Practice and they can arrange this for you.

Dental Hygienists
Mrs Rebecca Gowda
RDH (Wales)
GDC number 5929
Mrs Alison Chapman
RDH FAETC
GDC number 2464
Our experienced and caring hygienists, Becky and Alison, are able to provide a full range of treatments from cosmetic stain removal through to management and treatment of gum disease. The mouth is sometimes seen as a reflection on what is going on in other parts of the body and gum problems can sometimes be linked to diabetes and heart disease. They work closely with the dentists to ensure you receive the very best care, be that a cosmetic stain removal to make you feel great about your smile, through to treating gum disease. Patients are able to arrange to see our hygienists directly without seeing a dentist first, but it is recommended you make an appointment for a full Oral Health Assessment with the dentist also, so we can work together to provide what’s best for you.
